Event Calendar
National Events
The calendar of National Events lists events that are expected to draw a national or heavy regional attendance. This includes all OUSA sanctioned National Ranking Events, or NREs, whose results are used to tablulate the 12 month rolling rankings for OUSA members. As a general rule, events shown below in dark blue will have at least one NRE in the listing.
Note that some NREs are ‘restricted’ in the sense that a special waiver has been allowed by sanctioning to include less than the full slate of courses defined in the OUSA Rules of Competition. An example is the orienteering program of the Pan American Masters Games 2024 , which is limited to competitors in age classes 35 and higher.
Multi-day orienteering festivals, such as the Pacific Northwest Orienteering Festival and Anza-Borrego Desert Orienteering Festival are included even if they do not have sanctioned NREs scheduled due to their extended schedule of events.
Local Events
- EventReg – Orienteering USA clubs are encouraged to use the same system that is used for National Events at the club level. Especially in the current coronavirus era, having a convenient online registration option can streamline your event administration.
- EventReg is free to use for OUSA club local events.
- EventReg is under regular development and enhancements to facilitate local usage are being implemented regularly. Let us know what functionality would allow EventReg to become your preferred platform for local events by filling out our feature request form.
