U.S. Orienteers at 2019 World Masters O Champs in Latvia

The 2019 World Masters Orienteering Championships (WMOC 2019) took place July 5-12 in and around Riga, Latvia

Before the WMOC competition began, competitors had the opportunity to run a fun indoor sprint at the Daugava Football Stadium in Riga. Participating from the USA were Steve Tarry of UNO, and Benjamin Hart and Stephanie Ross of OCIN.

Team USA Brings Home BK and FC Cups from NAOC 2018

As many of you know, the North American Orienteering Championships recently took place in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. As part of the competition, elite junior and senior athletes from USA and Canada competed for the prestigious Bjorn Kjellstrom Cup (BK Cup; seniors) and Future Champions Cup (FC Cup; juniors).

The 2018 World Masters Orienteering Championships (WMOC 2018) took place July 6-13 in and around Copenhagen on the island of Zealand in Denmark.

2017 September Rankings - Kings and Queens

These rankings are current as of July 2017. Of note, we have 55 ranked runners in M-21+! Considering that usually the M55 and older classes dominate the numbers, this is great! In the junior classes, we have a tie between QOC and GAOC for the highest number of age group leaders, while in the 21 and older classes, we have a tie between DVOA and BAOC for the most age group leaders. And Sharon Crawford continues to dominate both the F70+ and the F35+ categories, because she is a living legend. Congrats to all!

2017 Boston Sprint Camp

The Cambridge Sports Union just hosted the third annual Boston Sprint Camp, four action-packed days of sprinting and training. This is the second event in the four-event North American Sprint Series.

2017 Billygoat Recap

Hudson Valley Orienteering and Western Connecticut Orienteering teamed up to host this year's edition of the Billygoat Race at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation in New York, which was also site of the 2016 U.S. Two-day Classic Championships.

The 2017 World Masters Orienteering Championships (WMOC 2017) took place April 23-29 in the Auckland area of New Zealand, in conjunction this year with the World Masters Games.

U.S. Athletes Among 2016 North American Champions

The following U.S. competitors earned gold medals at the 2016 North American Orienteering Championships held 23-25 September in Hanover, New Hampshire. Strong performances in the under-20 classes helped Team USA retain the Future Champions Cup awarded to the top Junior team from the North American federations (so far, Canada and USA).

Those earning gold all three days were: Mori Finlayson of NEOC (M-10), Angelica Riley of DVOA (F40+), Niels Lyng-Olsen of WCOC (M50+), and Judy Dickinson of HVO (F75+). Kudos!
